My kids keep me laughing almost all of the time! The things they say are just priceless, so I had to share a few. Kyleigh's newest phrase is "Oh Man!" The words themselves aren't particularly funny, but the way she says them is HILARIOUS! Her other favorite word at this time is "puke". For those of you who know her well, you know she gets carsick quite easily. Well, I forgot to give her the nausea medicine one day, and she "puked" just as we pulled into Sam's in Fort Smith. Billie looked at her with concern and asked "Oh Kyleigh, are you okay?" and Kyleigh (in her growling little voice) exclaimed "I puked!" over and over and over and laughed about it. I've been sick for the last two weeks with bronchitis, and I had trouble keeping food down for a few days, so Kyleigh got to use the word some more! I guess it's just a fun word for her to say! Ha Ha!
While I was sick, Billie crawled up in my lap when I was resting in the recliner. I started coughing, and she turned to me and asked, "Oh Mommy, you still sick?" I said "Yes", and she said "I'll cuddle with you and watch 'The Doctors'" (I'm addicted to this show). I said "Okay. Maybe when you grow up, you can be a doctor and take care of Mommy." She said, "Yeah, but Mommy, we just don't know how to make me grow up!" Ha! If only she knew that she's growing up too fast as it is! Another "doctor story"...at the beginning of "The Doctors" show, they sing "Doctor, doctor, give me the news..." Well, Billie walked into the room the other day singing this except that her words were "Doctor, doctor, give me a kiss!" She argued with me over the fact that it was "kiss" and not "news". Guess who won the debate?
We took the kids on a little mini-vacation while Michael was on his week of vacation. I was sick the whole week that he was off, but he got a lot of work done outside in the yard. I was feeling better toward the end of the week, so we took off for Tulsa. Billie had begged all week to go to a hotel. That's all she wanted to do was stay at a hotel. We told her we were going to a park and an aquarium first, and she threw a fit because she wanted to go to the hotel. Anyway, once we got to the hotel that evening, she walked in the room, and you could see her eyes brighten. She turned around, looked at me, jumped up and down, and squealed with excitement, "I'm so 'cited'!!!" I laughed so hard, but all I could think was "I bet the people underneath us are so 'cited' that we're here too!" Ha! I'll post pics from the little vacation later.
Okay, last story. I bought Billie a few summer clothes in Tulsa, so when we got home, I had her try them on. One tank top had a little heart on the chest. When she looked down at the heart, she patted her hand on her chest and said, "Awwww...bless my heart!" Is that not cute???
Kids are fascinating, aren't they?

Bless her heart! Definately one of the cuter ones. Katie used to crack us up all the time. She's still funny, just not as cute about it. Now there's a lot more sarcasm involved. :) And Levi's favorite phrase when he was about 2 was "Oh Man!" and he had that growly voice like Kyleigh. Katie's 2nd birthday party was full of Levi exclaiming "Oh Man" over every present she opened, whether it was clothes or a pair of skates! Enjoy those sweet little stinkers!
